Lookingforwardness vs. Dread (Not Excitement vs. Boredom)

To gauge how you are feeling about something (your work, a project, a rendezvous), one often asks, “are you excited?”

I’ve found “Lookingforwardness” to be a more accurate descriptor of that feeling. Like when I made a grapefruit oleosaccarum (which needs to be left overnight) and I was looking forward to how it turned out the next day. Compared to the utter dread I felt going another day to my job.

Not that those are always good predictors of how things are ACTUALLY going to go.

Just that “lookingforwardness” is a nice feeling. It’s easier when excitement is hard to come by. It makes you feel a bit more alive if you have been dead inside.
