Chores
I was complaining to my partner about how, because of how busy he is with his startup, all the house work – fixing, repairs has fallen to me. He said if it is a chore, don’t do it. And it made me think of so many other things I am doing chore-erily. I am doing chores as chores, I have turned exciting things into chores.
I am working on a product I have been wanting to work on forever, but now that I am in it, some of the work I have turned into a chore.
We are buying property together, the entire process is a chore.
I read somewhere, you can do it like it is a burden or it is all part of the dance.
If I can enjoy the process, then any outcome is a side effect. If I am only focusing on getting the outcome asap. To be finished, huffing and puffing, then the entire journey is torture.
